About Us

The International Sketch Comedy ChampionshipTM was created to provide talented sketch comedy troupes with the opportunity to perform and win career advancement opportunities. As part of the championship, finalists will also be taped for a television pilot. A portion of our proceeds will benefit: The Lifetime Adoption Foundation

Welcome to the 2006 International Sketch Comedy ChampionshipTM
A sketch comedy group competition and festival.

Paul Lawrence
Producer, Director

Paul has performed as a comic in such venues as the Melrose Hollywood Improv, the Laugh Factory and the Ha Ha Comedy Club in the Los Angeles, and has appeared in Florida at all of the Improv Comedy Clubs and the New York Comedy Club. He is an executive producer for the upcoming Maverick Films/Prime Time Pictures release, "Cruel World", starring Edward Furlong and Jaime Pressly, and is also the executive producer for "Space Daze II" starring Fred Williamson and Robert Z'dar. Paul is a produced screenwriter, and has a sketch comedy group of his own that has performed in packed venues across the US. Frustrated with the lack of sketch comedy competitions that offered meaningful prizes to the winners (such as representation), he decided to combine his comedic experience and his altruistic spirit to produce a comedy championship that also benefited charitable organizations. As Paul is currently in the process of adopting a child from a third world country, the 2006 International Sketch Comedy ChampionshipTM will benefit the Lifetime Adoption Center.
